weiterbildung@sfu.ac.athttps://weiterbildungsakademie.sfu.ac.at/de/event/Lifestyle diseases such as overweight, obesity and metabolic syndrome have reached epidemic proportions worldwide: 44% of the world's population and 60% of Europeans are already affected. The health, social and economic consequences pose enormous challenges for medicine and healthcare systems.
The Integrative Medicine 2026 Congress is dedicated to the complex interactions between obesity, the microbiome and the gut-brain axis. The focus is on multimodal, evidence-based therapy concepts that combine modern medicine, nutritional science and psychoneuroimmunology.
Under the scientific direction of Prof. Peter Panhofer, practical approaches will be presented that aim to restore the balance between humans and the microbiome and to identify sustainable ways of preventing and treating obesity and metabolic diseases.
